FAQ

FAQ

How do we book a session?

You can book your session through my contact page. To secure your booking, you’ll need to sign a contract and pay a retainer.

When should we book a newborn session?

Simply get in touch and we’ll choose a date that feels right for you. Most families book before their baby arrives, and we’ll confirm everything once your little one is here.

How many pictures will we receive?

After your session, you’ll receive a beautifully curated gallery of 30 carefully hand-edited and retouched images. The full gallery is available for an additional £150.

Would it be possible to receive some black and white edits as well?

Of course. I will be selecting the approach that best fits each shot to tell your story in a way that feels natural and timeless.

How and when will we be able to view our photos?

Your photos will be ready in 7–10 days, delivered through a private online gallery.

Where will our session take place?

Your session can be held in the comfort of your home, at your local park, or at another favourite spot in London.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

The first 2-3 weeks are perfect for capturing your newborn at their tiniest.

When is the best age to photograph my baby?

If you’re hoping to capture those beautifully sleepy newborn moments, the first 2-3 of weeks tend to be ideal. If you’d love a bit more eye contact and gentle interaction, the 4–12 week stage can be such a lovely time.

How should we dress for our session?

You're welcome to wear whatever feels comfortable, but I usually suggest white or earthy tones like beige and brown as these help create the light, airy look you see in my portfolio. Other colours work beautifully as well, just stick to solid shades without large prints, and keep the outfits coherent across the family.

Should we bring anything along?

You're welcome to bring meaningful items to your session like favourite toys or soap bubbles for family shoots, or scans and tiny baby shoes for maternity sessions.

Will photos be mostly posed or candid?

My sessions are calm and relaxed, giving you space to laugh, play, and simply be together. I'll offer light guidance for a few posed photos, but the rest is all about real moments, naturally captured.

We’re a bit shy in front of the camera - is that okay?

The photos I love most aren't the perfectly posed ones, they're the ones full of real emotion. That's why I keep things calm and natural, letting your family interact the way you always do. Whether it's playful chaos or a quiet cuddle, those unscripted moments are what I'm here to capture.

Do you photograph parents and siblings too?

Absolutely! Your little one will be beautifully captured on their own, in loving moments with each parent, and all together as a family, pets included.

What if my child is unwell?

These things happen, I'm always happy to reschedule if your little one is unwell. All I ask is that you let me know as soon as you can.

Can my parents or in-laws be there as well?

Absolutely, grandparents are always welcome to join your session. Just give me a heads-up when booking so I can plan accordingly.

What happens if my baby cries or won’t settle?

It's completely normal, and honestly nothing to stress about. Babies fuss, need feeding, and sometimes simply want to be held close. Every session is paced with this in mind.

What if it rains?

A couple of days before your session, I'll check in once the forecast is clearer. If rain is likely and you're set on outdoor photos, we can reschedule or we can still go ahead with an indoor session instead.

What if it's overcast?

Great news, overcast is actually the ideal weather for a session! Cloud cover acts like a natural diffuser, giving us soft, even light without any harsh shadows or squinting.

Do we need to tidy the house?

No need to worry at all. We’ll simply make use of areas with nice, natural light, and I’ll guide things gently if anything needs a small adjustment.

Are you pet friendly?

Absolutely, your furbabies are very welcome!
